Changes are taking the pace I’m going through   

“Looks like you’ve gotten yourself a new life, Miss Adler. Or should I call you Miss Baker now? How very,” he pauses just a tenth of a second too long, “original. Couldn’t notice you’ve got a few problems of your own.”
"Don’t pretend you know me, Sherlock Holmes,” she almost spits out his name, “you never have and you never will.”
"You might have changed your clothes and your job, but your sentiment hasn’t changed.”
“Neither have you,” she replies, and he looks at her with, to her neatly hidden amusement, confusion in his eyes.
“I mean, look at you,” she says, the ghost of a smile on her lips, “still the addict.”
She swiftly looks away and pretends she doesn’t notice the way his fingers brush over his sleeve.
